The Ferozepur Distt. Coop. Milk Producers Union Ltd. Ferozepur was registered under Coop. Societies Act on dated 23.12.1976 bearing registration No. 803.The Milk Procurement work in District, Ferozepur, commenced in the year 1976 under the control of Milk Union, Bhathinda. Milk Union, Ferozepur, has started functioning independently w.e.f. 29.10.1982.The first Board of Director of Milk Union Ferozepur was nominated by the Registrar Cooperative Societies in the year 1984. The Milk Union Ferozepur constituted its first   Board in the same year  through elections. 

The term of Board of Directors expired on 04.05.2011 and now the Board has been formed on 30.03.2016.  Milk Union, Ferozepur came into existence with twin objectives of providing remunerative prices to milk producers in the district by value addition, providing technical input services for milk production enhancement and supply of quality milk and milk products at competitive rate to its valuable customers at their door steps.Milk Union, Ferozepur is progressing to strengthen Village Based Coop. System to improve socio-economic health of Milk Producers by undertaking various schemes VBMPS (Village Based Milk Procurement System) which is grant based scheme from Govt. Of India through NDDB under National Dairy Plan (NDP-I).

A scheme for Financial support from NABARD for formation of Producers Organization (PO) in process  under valuable guidance & support from Milkfed and financial assistance/grant from Govt. through NDDB.The Share Capital of Societies is Rs. 44.70 Lacs. as on 31.03.2015. The contribution of Rs.41.00 Lacs. made by Punjab Govt. has been refunded and at this movement there is no capital share of Punjab Govt. in Milk Union, Ferozepur. The Milkshed area of Ferozepur comprises 1004 No’s of Villages of old Distt. Ferozepur, currently includes District Ferozepur, Fazilka & Dharamkot Tehsil Moga.Milk Union, Ferozepur has its two own Milk Chilling Centers, one at Malwal & Ghallu in District of Ferozepur & Fazilka having chilling/storage capacities of 60,000 LPD & 23,000 each respectively.Milk Union is also collecting milk at Kot Isse Khan & Fazilka by hiring ice factory having Chilling/Storage total capacity of  45,000 LPD. Milk Union has also established One BMC’s having capacity 3500 Ltrs. each at MCC Jalalabad in the hired building.
